African Pipes, Valves & Fittings, commonly known as APVF is a South African based and globally connected company with more than 30 years of experience specialising in the supply of high-quality thermoplastic pipes, valves, fittings, semi-finished products, welding solutions and associated products to diverse sectors including agriculture, infrastructure, mining, chemical processing and water treatment throughout Southern Africa.

Our History
Since our founding in 2014 in Cape Town, APVF has grown into a formidable force in the thermoplastics industry. Initially serving the agricultural, aquaculture and industrial sectors, we quickly expanded, establishing branches in Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Durban and Bloemfontein, solidifying our national presence.
Within just two years, APVF rose to become one of the top three suppliers of thermoplastic pipeline products in South Africa and today, we are poised to lead the industry as its premier supplier.
Our success and leadership is guided by Ben Levitas, (a pioneer who transformed a small enterprise into South Africa’s largest thermoplastics retail business in the 1980s), Hilton Gischen, Ryan Levitas and Uriel Jablonski who provide decades of industry expertise and a strong customer-centric approach with their diverse backgrounds and skills.
Ryan Levitas (BSc Mech Eng - UCT) plays a pivotal role in delivering engineering solutions that consistently meet the highest standards. He and his team inspire a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction, ensuring that APVF remains the partner of choice for thermoplastic solutions across all industries in Southern Africa.
May 2014
African Pipes, Valves & Fittings (APVF) is founded.
2014–2016
APVF acquires exclusive distribution rights for Simona AG (2014), Elysee (2015), Plastitalia (2015) and Stübbe and Hidroten (2016), significantly enhancing its product offerings.
2019
APVF launches its dedicated Industrial Division, under the guidance of Ryan Levitas, further strengthening its ability to serve specialised industry requirements.
2014–2015
Rapid expansion sees branches opened in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg (2014), followed by Nelspruit (2015).
2018
Mechanical Engineer Ryan Levitas joins APVF, bringing extensive industry experience and technical expertise.
